Started circus and aerial acrobatics training: 2014
I am a circus professional by profession and my performing arts are aerial acrobatics with a rope and hula hoops. At Legend Trick Gym, I teach you aerial acrobatics with fabrics.
In addition to art, training and performing, the circus means a very strong sense of community to me. Training together, supporting others, trust and friendship!
BACKGROUND
I started circus training as an adult at the Jyväskylä circus and parkour academy, while I studied education at the University of Jyväskylä. Until then, as a person who had completely abstained from exercise, I made a complete turn when I noticed that playing sports and learning physical skills is really fun! The circus also increased my self-confidence and offered a completely new way of artistic self-expression.
I graduated with a master's degree in education and worked in early childhood education for a while until I realized that I needed to follow my true passion. I applied to Turku AMK Academy of Arts to study circus and graduated there in 2021!
GUIDED BY GOALS
I want to make sure that during aerial acrobatics lessons we have fun and safe training together. I want to encourage everyone to try and develop new skills, and to express themselves through wonderful aerial acrobatics!
I also want to encourage trainers to persevere, because hard work and perseverance can be seen in the results. It's the best feeling when you learn something after hard work - then you can be really proud of yourself!
